What You'll Do

The Brand, Corporate Affairs & Sustainability (BCAS) function at abrdn plays a crucial role in shaping the company's identity and reputation while driving its commitment to responsible business practices. This function integrates brand management, corporate communications, and sustainability initiatives to ensure that abrdn not only meets the expectations of its clients and stakeholders but also contributes positively to society and the environment.

As an intern in BCAS, you'll be placed in one of our specialised teams, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to meaningful initiatives:

Brand and External Communications: Participate in media relations, run innovative campaigns, and help shape our brand's reputation.

Colleague Communications and Experience: Craft memorable messages and campaigns that foster community and pride within our organization.

Group Sustainability: Support initiatives that drive our sustainability strategy, focusing on responsible business practices and inclusive growth.

Throughout the programme, you'll have access to e-learning courses, a structured development plan, and networking opportunities with senior leaders.

Graduate Programme 

On completion of your summer internship you will be considered for a position on our graduate programme starting in 2026. This programme gives graduates the chance to initiate their career in a highly encouraging team environment, . Our graduate programme focuses on developing our talent to give the best possible start to their career and support aspirations to be the future leaders of abrdn. Our development curriculum focuses on 3 key learning mindsets- Client, Leadership & Strategic. Through engaging content, group coaching and learning experiences these mindsets will develop your capability and equip you with the skills and knowledge to set you up for success in your career.  

For both Intern and Graduate roles we aim to build experience through partnership and collaboration. We also pride ourselves on the natural sense of community we have – ensuring phenomenal support from colleagues and peers, allowing everyone to reach their full potential

What We Look For

We are looking for students in their penultimate year from diverse academic backgrounds. Ideal candidates are passionate about content creation, leveraging technology, and using data insights to engage audiences. Demonstrating behaviours in line with our core values (Transparency, Client-focused, Empowerment, and Ambition) is essential.
