As a Weekend Operator you will enjoy 4 days off and then work a total of 29 hours a week, Friday 1pm to 7pm and Saturday/Sunday 7am to 7pm.

We are currently looking for Weekend Operators at our packaging site in Leven. Leven Packaging is the largest spirits bottling operation in Europe. Leven alongside Shieldhall package a huge volume of Scotch malt whiskies, white spirits and ready to drink brands to supply over 170 countries around the world

About the role

As an Operator within our Packaging Team at Leven, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring that operations are carried out to the highest standard and in adherence to Diageo's health and safety, environmental and food safety standards, at all times.

You will be accountable for delivering effective shift handovers and operating bottling line machines while following defined standard operating procedures for machine operation. Set up time reduction and perform autonomous maintenance tasks including cleaning, inspecting, lubricating and responding to issues.

Health and safety compliance is key and you’ll be at the forefront of making sure this is supervised alongside other Key Performance Indicators and targets such as production quality and HMRC compliance.

To be successful in this role, we’re looking for someone who:

  • Can work well within a team as well as the ability to make effective decisions and thrive in situations where they can solve problems.
  • Holds strong interpersonal and leadership skills with an ability to communicate with all levels across the site.
  • Able to push forward your own ideas about improvements to current approaches and appraise new opportunities. With a strive to make a positive difference to manufacturing excellence and show your excellent communication skills.
