Transport Planner / Administrator

We are seeking an enthusiastic Transport Planner / Administrator to join our team based in Corpach, Fort William.

Previous experience in Transport Planning / Administration or Logistics is preferable but not mandatory as you will be joining a well established team who have the necessary skills and experience to fully train you to deliver a first class transport and logistics service to our customers.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective planning of transportation routes. This position requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team.

Duties

  • Develop and implement transport plans that meet operational requirements 
  • Analyse data to dertermine optimal transport routes and schedules
  • Coordinate with drivers, clients and other departments to ensure timely deliveries
  • Provide clerical support including data entry and administrative tasks as required.

This is a full time, permanent role, working Monday to Friday. Once fully trained, there will be weekend working on a rota, as well as an on-call rota.

  • Good computer skills and keen to learn our Transport Management System 
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
