Community Psychiatric Nurse (Adults & Perinatal)

Band 6 £39,912 - £48,635 per annum

plus £1,349 Distant Islands Allowance per annum

37 hrs per week

We are looking for a highly motivated experienced RMN to join our Community Psychiatric Nursing Team in Lewis and Harris.  Applications are invited from qualified nurses who are seeking to develop their career in a newly developing and challenging service specialising in Perinatal Mental Health.


The successful candidate will have a generic CPN caseload and a core role in providing specialist nursing assessment, interventions, ongoing monitoring and risk assessment and implementation of clinical interventions to ensure the delivery of a high quality of care for women with perinatal ill health.

The post holder will work in partnership with local mental health services, maternity and neo natal teams, psychological interventions services, third sector providers and other professionals involved in the care of pregnant and postnatal women, their infants and families, acting as the crucial link between services.

The successful candidate will be willing to participate in an On Call Rota and will provide Perinatal Cover Western Isles Wide.
