GCU are a specialised contractor that offers a full suite of services to several key sectors including Utilities, Telecommunications, Civil Engineering and Traffic Management. With offices and projects across the UK, GCU work collaboratively with clients to deliver projects from inception to completion, producing high-end results while maintaining excellent safety standards.

GCU require a Depot Manager to supervise and run our busy depot based in Beauly. This will involve managing a small team who will ensure that the depots assets are utilised and maintained effectively to support maximum performance of contract delivery, profit, and service levels.

Applicants are expected to have experience of managing a workshop / yard in a previous role within a relevant sector, candidates having gained extensive experience in this environment who are looking for a step up will also be considered. It is advantageous to hold knowledge/awareness of HGV mechanics, operations licences/VOSA and basic safety (IOSH certification would be advantageous). Applicants must have a driving licence and it would be advantageous to hold LGV/HGV licences and/or telehandler/forklift licences. Key attributes required for the position include the ability to lead a team, high attention to detail, flexible, ability to work autonomously and use initiative, ability to work under pressure and excellent organisations skills.
