Training Administrator

We are seeking an organised administrator who will support the Training Supervisor to develop, organise and deliver training across the site.

ALVANCE

Established since 1929, ALVANCE British Aluminium, part of the GFG Alliance, owns and operates the last remaining aluminium production plant (smelter) in the UK and a connected hydropower electricity generation station located on the slopes of Ben Nevis, Britain’s highest mountain. A combination or renewable energy sources makes this site one of the greenest metal production plants in the country.

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Update employee personal training files
  • Maintain department skills matrices
  • Organise training for new starts and refresher courses as required
  • Support Training Supervisor to ensure training compliance
  • Checking & reviewing training records
  • Support organising both internal and external training course
  • Raising of purchase orders for external training as directed
  • Set up facilities for training courses to effectively run i.e. IT equipment, meeting rooms, refreshments etc
  • Capture training activity and promote through the correct channels such as the Employee newsletter, social media etc
Requirements
  • Previous experience within an office-based environment
  • Competent in Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, SharePoint), strong IT proficiency
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Good organisation skills and ability to prioritise tasks
  • Reliability, discretion, adaptability and attention to detail
  • Excellent written communication skills

HOURS OF WORK

Standard hours are 8.30 – 5.00 Mon – Thurs and 8.30 to 1.30pm on a Fri, although flexible start /finish times are available
