Part Time Customer Services Officer - Tingwall Airport

We currently have a requirement for a part-time Customer Services Officer to work approximately 10 – 15 hours per week. In addition, the candidate will provide cover for the Base Manager and Station Officer during periods of annual leave. This is a great opportunity for an individual that wants to be an integral part of a small and friendly team.

The ideal candidate will be able to work on their own initiative with a proactive approach, possess good verbal and written communication skills, and work well under pressure.

Key responsibilities are:

  • Dealing with passenger flight enquires and flight bookings
  • Telephone reservations / enquiries and email monitoring
  • Processing of passengers from ticket purchase through to flight check-in
  • Correct and accurate processing / handling of passenger baggage
  • Escorting passengers to and from the aircraft
  • Assisting to maintain the ticket sales records on the relevant company account forms
  • Administrative tasks as directed by the Base Manager
  • Saturday working during operation of the summer flying schedule on a rotational basis with other staff members
Requirements

It is essential that prospective candidates have the following skills and attributes:

  • Competent working knowledge of Microsoft Office particularly Word and Excel
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with people at all levels
  • Ability to work on own initiative 
  • Positive, organised approach to work
  • Task focussed with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Reliable and committed

A 5-year background profile will be required together with a full, clean driving licence.
