NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.

Following the retirement of our Perth & Kinross Health & Social Care Partnership Allied Health Professions Lead the opportunity to work across the partnership has arisen.  You will provide clinical and professional leadership for all allied health professional staff across our local delegated services and contribute to safe, effective and patient centred care.  These include inpatient services at Perth Royal Infirmary, our four Community Hospitals, Prison Healthcare, community health and care services along with Podiatry for Tayside.

You will play a key role in taking forward the vision of the HSCP and work closely with recently appointed Heads of Integrated Health and Care to champion integration with a responsibility optimising clinical and care standards and the experience of people who are supported by our allied health professions and in leading robust clinical, professional and care governance arrangements.

The HSCP has also designated a new temporary role to support strategic change across all our allied health professional services and you will work alongside this postholder and AHP staff over the next 18 months to improve how we are organised to deliver the very best services in the right place and at the right time and to better serve the needs of the Perth & Kinross population. You will be at the centre of developing new ways of service delivery and to create and explore opportunities to develop roles, behaviours and ways of working to achieve consistent high standards of service for patients across all parts of the health and social care landscape.

You must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) with comprehensive post qualification experience and a proven record of high-level professional practice.

Internal - Written approval must be sought from your line manager prior to applying for this secondment.  You will be required to bring this if shortlisted for interview.

Hours of work are 29.6 per week, pattern negotiable. Fixed Term for 18 months

Short-listed applicants will be contacted by email. Please check your emails regularly, including your junk/spam folder.
