Job Description
To monitor and record standards of service delivery. To provide support, guidance and leadership to a designated team of Social Care Assistants which will include individual supervision and ERDP.
To undertake the responsibility of a Team Leader who is required to support the team of Social Care Assistants working with vulnerable people who have been discharged from hospital or in the community requiring care, to regain and to maintain their ability to live independently within the community.
Requirements
Support the process of Progression and the development of the START.
Arrange cover both within and out with office hours with regard to sickness, holidays and any other absences.
Complete visits to Service Users & support services to monitor and record standards of service delivery.
Provide support and mentor Social Care Assistants.
Support the development of a designated team of Social Care Assistants.
Provide a link between Social Care Assistants, Co-Ordinator & Depute Manager.
Support Service Users with Reablement .
The Individual
Experience of caring for people in a domiciliary setting.
Awareness of social, emotional and physical needs of people.
A high level of awareness of the reablement agenda.
SVQ Level III in Health & Social Care or recognised training and demonstrable experience in aspects of social care.
The ability to build trust, motivate and encourage.
A working knowledge of Word, Outlook, Internet Explorer and Excel.
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
An ability to work alone without close supervision.
Understanding of administrative processes relating to START. Self confident and self motivated. Ability to accurately record information.
Effective organisational and time management skills.
Ability to participate in duty rota.
Ability to arrange, chair and record meetings.
You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Moray to meet the operational requirements of the Service. Due to the rural nature of Moray this is normally undertaken by use of a car/van.

Starting Salary: £34131.76 (pro rata)
£17.74 per hour
36.25 hours per week
