Job Description
To undertake generally as part of a team the maintenance and construction of roads and footways.
Requirements
Signing and Guarding of works
Drainage and Kerbing Works
Preparation and Laying of Coated and Uncoated Materials
Fixing/Dismantling Street Furniture
Driving of Vehicles and Plant
Participate in the delivery of the Winter Service and response to other emergencies
Operation of Power Tools
General Support of Specialist Operatives
Meeting Health & Safety Requirements
The Individual
Experience of outdoor manual work
Understanding of Health and Safety Requirements
Current Driving Licence
Prepared to work towards acquiring an LGV licence
Satisfy DVLA criteria to obtain LGV licence
Must be able to keep basic records
Willing to work outside in all weather
Flexible attitude and ability to work as a member of a team
This job requires a high level of applied physical effort.
Must be willing to participate in the Winter and Summer Out of Hours Rota
Must be prepared to work overtime as required
Closing Date: 13 December 2024
Starting Salary: £25512.24 to £27763.32*
£13.26 to £14.43 per hour*
37 Hours per week
*Dependant on relevant qualifications and experience
