Petrofac is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer - Contractor for 6 months based in Aberdeen, UK.
The role is outside IR35 and we invite Limited Companies to engage.
Scope of Services:
Scope of Services:
· Provide technical expertise for the structural design of new infrastructure and modifications to existing infrastructure for the energy sector.
· Provide technical input to estimates for project work scopes
· Provide input to progress and planning meetings
· Provide technical expertise to the resolution of technical queries ensuring that all design changes are captured by the change control process
· Conduct site surveys on offshore or onshore assets
· Produce structural calculations and analysis
· Participate in design reviews, constructability reviews / HAZIDS
· Provide checking and approval of discipline documents, complete interdisciplinary checking of documents where necessary.
· Interface with other disciplines, clients and third parties on technical project issues
· Production of discipline documentation deliverables for inclusion in work packs
· Provide a level of technical support that satisfies the appropriate Asset Safety Case and that the PFEER performance standards ensuring they are not compromised by any discipline engineering activities
· Compliance with company engineering procedures, industry, international and client codes and standards
· Ensure that all work complies with the Contract Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures as appropriate

· Input to project basis of design documents
· Input to concept study / FEED reports
· Requisition (Including SDRL)
· Construction Workpack input
· Weight Control Reports
· Presentations sketches etc. to assist in scope communications

· Structural general arrangement drawings
· Structural detail drawings
· Structural destruct drawings
· Installation methodology drawings / documents
· Rigging drawings
· Survey reports
· Structural design calculations
· Structural design and analysis reports
· Project execution plans
· Project basis of design documents
· Concept study / FEED reports
· Requisition (Including SDRL)
· Construction workpacks
· Weight control reports
