Want to be part of a professional team maintaining and repairing a varied modern fleet of vehicles, learn new skills and qualifications on the way?
At Stagecoach Bluebird, we operate recognisable and reliable coach and bus services across Aberdeen & Shire, and we’re looking for people with the right attitude and willingness to learn, to join our growing team at this exciting time.
We are looking for a depot shunter to fuel, clean and park our buses, and perform other maintenance tasks within the depot.
The Role:
- You’ll be a key member of our staff maintaining and repairing our fleet of buses
- Fuelling, washing and safe parking of our fleet
- Accurately completing reports of coolant/oil/fuel issues
- Flexibility to provide relief cover to the backshift shunters in other Aberdeenshire depots as and when necessary
- Full compliance with Stagecoach group health and safety procedures
Hours of work will be 45 hours per week, working day shift Monday – Friday, with overtime opportunity. The successful candidate will have a positive attitude and be flexible towards meeting the needs of the business.
About you:
- Flexible to the requirements of the business and committed, as well as a positive work ethic
- Willingness to take pride in your role and be satisfied with a good day’s work
- Full car licence
- PSV licence desirable, and upon satisfactory completion of a probationary period the successful candidate will be considered for their PSV licence by the company
