We are currently recruiting for a Technician with a specific interest in fish health to join our dedicated team at our Freshwater Operation at Knock Hatchery on the Isle of Mull.

The Technician role is crucial to our success, ensuring the best management of our superior quality Scottish salmon by monitoring fish health, welfare and protection measures whilst maintaining the operational efficiency and safety standards.
Requirements
Ideally, you should have at least 1-year practical experience in fish husbandry, freshwater or equivalent role with a good knowledge of fish welfare. You must also be able to complete tasks in a professional manner adherent to strict health and safety requirements and practice good housekeeping throughout all activities.
Key requirements would be a willingness to learn, good communication skills as well as collaborating as part of our close-knit team where high standards of fish welfare is at the heart of our goals.
ABOUT THE PACKAGE

We operate a shift system with on-call support to ensure continuity of service for the Hatchery by providing critical coverage outside our normal working hours.
