An exciting opportunity has arisen to become part of our small, professional friendly team at the Town and County Hospital, Wick.
We are looking for a motivated, caring and courteous person to help us provide good quality, innovative care and support to patients, including Palliative care, slow stream rehabilitation and complex discharge planning.
Candidates should be enthusiastic, a team player and have good communication and self awareness
Experience in care of the elderly/rehabilitation and end of life preferable
We are confident you will enjoy working with our small welcoming team.
This is a fixed term post to July 2025 of 37 hours per week, working 12.5 hour shifts or in line with service requirements.

This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Health and Care Worker visa. NHS Highland is unable to provide candidates with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
