We are looking for a skilled and creative Chef /Cook to prepare and cook meals for our guests, using fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene, while working efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Cook /Chef required for a busy west highland restaurant /tearoom. We provide good wholesome local food, the menu changes daily- Variety is the spice of life. We are a friendly family craft oriented, there is also outside catering in a beautiful part of Scotland. Accomodation is provided, further details on request. Part time work would also be available for partner. Please contact email.
Prepare and cook meals to the highest standards, using local and seasonal ingredients.
Develop and implement new menus and recipes, incorporating customer feedback and dietary requirements.
Provide excellent customer service, responding to guest feedback and complaints.
Requirements
- 2+years of experince as a Chef/Cook in a similar establishment.
- Qualifications in a culinary arts or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Scottish cuisine and ingredients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Work collaboratively with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service.
- Manage food stock, ordering supplies, and controlling waste.
