Tayside Adult Autism Consultancy Team (TAACT) is a small, multidisciplinary team who specialise in the assessment, diagnosis and management of autism spectrum conditions. The demand for specialist services has increased markedly in recent times and this post is designed to introduce Highly Specialised Occupational Therapy resource into TAACT. This is an exciting time to join the service as a new Consultant Clinical Psychologist is now leading the service and a wider neurodevelopmental pathways design project is well underway. Postholders will assist in many aspects of the work of TAACT but with a particular focus on clinical input and the implementation of approaches which allow demand/capacity challenges to be improved.
The post holder will be a core member of Tayside Adult Autism Consultancy Team (TAACT) providing Nursing assessments/interventions for the team.
The postholder will be required to form excellent working relationships with Speech and Language Therapy, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Peer/Clinical Support Workers and Medical TAACT colleagues and wider mental health services to ensure that the models of care within TAACT has maximum impact for service users. Excellent relationships with partner organisations will also allow the contribution of peer and other supports to be maximised.
Applicants should have relevant experience of Autism Spectrum Conditions, be that within Learning Disability or Adult services. Experience working with other neurodevelopmental conditions is welcomed but not essential.
You must be a First level Registered Mental Health Nurse or Learning Disability Nurse and have valid registration with the UK NMC
