As a Surfacing Foreperson, you will possess outstanding interpersonal skills, a strong sense of teamwork, and a flexible approach to business objectives and change. Your ability to thrive lies in your commitment to delivering exceptional standards and ensuring the utmost regard for health and safety. 

The purpose of this role is to assume responsibility for the secure, efficient, and top-notch execution of frontline contract surfacing operations. The role directly reports to the Surfacing Supervisor and involves guiding, coaching, and instructing surfacing squad operatives while allocating the necessary resources.

To truly excel in this role, you must genuinely care about your team. This position demands an individual who recognises the significance of a strong team ethos and is motivated by delivering exceptional standards. We are particularly keen on recruiting someone who relishes the opportunity to lead a team and thoroughly enjoys planning, coordinating, and executing surfacing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will have extensive operational experience within asphalt surfacing operations and a good working knowledge of asphalt materials and characteristics, as well as surfacing methods and techniques.
  • You will be able to manage frontline resources, with the ability to optimise outputs, efficiency, quality and profitability.
  • You will have a “hands on” approach and be competent in instructing and directing site surfacing operatives.
