Nature Restoration Officer
Stirling Council is looking for a suitable candidate to lead on our nature restoration and biodiversity work and drive forward delivery of our Alive with Nature Plan. This position presents an exciting opportunity to be part of the Council’s Sustainable Development Team transforming Stirling’s future through the Climate and Nature Emergency Plan programme. Key responsibilities of the post are to deliver key nature restoration and conservation projects across the Stirling area and to provide leadership, advice, and guidance on a range of biodiversity and ecology issues to support enhanced environmental decision-making.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant field, have a proven track record in delivering successful projects in a large organisation, and be able to communicate effectively at all levels. You will have experience of working effectively with a range of partners and in dealing with competing priorities to deliver a diverse range of projects. The post provides the opportunity for someone who is passionate about nature and its inextricable relationship with our changing climate to make a tangible difference in tackling the nature emergency in the area.
