We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nightshift Hygiene Manager to join our high performing team at MOWI. Reporting to the Site Technical & Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the hygiene operations across two nightshift teams, ensuring adherence to Health & Safety and Food Hygiene safety standards, and driving continuous improvement in our hygiene processes.
This is a critical role where your management skills will be crucial in motivating and managing the staff to deliver exceptional results.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Oversee and manage the nightshift hygiene operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards, and all relevant internal and external requirements and policies
- Implement and maintain robust health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff members
- Drive continuous improvement in hygiene processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency enhancements, and implementing best practices
- Develop and maintain effective cleaning and sanitation schedules, ensuring all areas meet the highest hygiene standards
- Lead and motivate the nightshift hygiene team, providing guidance, training, and performance management to maximize their potential and ensure exceptional results
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to monitor hygiene standards, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Production, Quality Assurance, and Engineering, to ensure seamless operations and compliance with hygiene protocols
- Stay updated on industry trends, health and safety regulations, and best practices in hygiene management to drive continuous improvement and maintain compliance
- Prepare reports on hygiene performance, including KPI’s for management review
To be considered for the role you MUST be able to demonstrate that you have:
- Proven experience in hygiene management, preferably in a nightshift setting, with a strong understanding of health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards
- Solid knowledge of hygiene practices, cleaning procedures, and cleaning protocols in a manufacturing or food processing environment
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team to achieve exceptional results
- Strong understanding of health and safety principles and the ability to implement and enforce safety protocols effectively
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate hygiene standards to staff
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Proficiency in using relevant software applications for documentation and reporting
- Relevant certifications in health and safety and hygiene management are desirable
We are looking for talented people with a 'can do' attitude – we are passionate in our belief that we are all part of the same team, so you will have a track record of working constructively with others, recognising and enabling the delivery of their priorities as well as your own requirements.
We do expect hard work and commitment – you must perform well under pressure, deliver to deadlines and never, ever let standards slide; but in return we offer a competitive reward package, a great place to work, and an opportunity to progress your career in a global, well-respected organisation.
