We are looking to recruit a seasonal housekeeping assistant to help in Syre Lodge (a large 10 bedroom property) which is usually occupied by guests from mid-March to end September/early October each year. This is a part time seasonal role during these months, working approximately 35 hours per week and overtime where necessary.

SEASONAL GENERAL HOUSEKEEPING ASSISTANT- JOB DESCRIPTION

Syre & North Loch Naver Estates are adjoining remote, upland, sporting estates located in Strathnaver, Sutherland. They include three of six rotating beats on the renowned River Naver which is one of the very best and private salmon rivers in the country. Extending to some 23,000 acres in total, with red deer stalking, numerous hill lochs, woodcock shooting and the impressive Syre Lodge at its heart, the Estates offer a unique sporting experience in stunning, unspoilt countryside.

We are looking to recruit a seasonal housekeeping assistant to help in Syre Lodge (a large 10 bedroom property) which is usually occupied by guests from mid-March to end September/early October each year. This is a part time seasonal role during these months, working approximately 35 hours per week and overtime where necessary.

The job requirements:

Ø  To assist our full time Housekeeper to ensure the smooth day to day running of Syre Lodge

Ø  To undertake all types of housekeeping duties including but not limited to cleaning, hoovering, polishing, changing beds, looking after lodge contents including silver and some antiques

Ø  To do laundry and ironing to a high standard

Ø  To put out rubbish and ensure bins are collected as necessary

Ø  To run errands as required and driving as necessary

Ø  To help ensure guests are made welcome and to make their stay at comfortable and as enjoyable as possible

Ø  To wait at table and to work in the kitchen as part of an evening shift programme

Ø  To comply with all Estate working policies  

Ø  Plus anything else that is reasonably required!

Requirements

The required attributes:

Ø  You will be keen with a flexible approach to work

Ø  You will be approachable, presentable and you will have a positive outlook

Ø  You will be 100% focused on the job in hand and you will be prepared to go the extra mile when required including working extras hours as necessary

Ø  You will enjoy working alone and as part of a team   

You will be required:

Ø  To possess a valid UK driving licence

Ø  Flexible in the hours you work which will including working weekends and doing some evening shifts during the season. Change over day during the season is a Sunday.

Ø  You will be required to work approximately 35 hours per week across six days.
