Grade: 4A Hourly Rate: £12.75 - £13.43 Salary: £23,280.40 - £24,521.40 pro rata per annum Hours: 9.5 *Please Note: There is also a 12hr Business Support Assistant advertised at Philiphaugh Primary School in Selkirk which could be filled with the same applicant. If you are interested in both posts please complete an Application form for both posts.* Please note that the annual salary advertised is for a full-time role, based on 35.00/37.00 hours per week. If the position you are applying for is part time or you are only going to be working part of the year, i.e., a term time contract for 38 or 39 weeks per year, the annual salary will be paid on a pro-rata basis including a number of additional weeks for annual leave entitlement when the position is term time.Recruitment Profile
As part of the Business Support team you will provide a wide range of clerical support and will be required to deal with children, staff and members of the public on a variety of matters. PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Assist the Administration Assistant in providing efficient and effective clerical support . Reception duties, first point of contact for parents. • Share responsibility for production of a wide range of documents, using word processing, desktop publishing, spreadsheets and databases • Ensure a high level of accuracy while updating and maintaining a variety of records • Share responsibility for a wide range of office duties including reception and ordering/paying for goods and services • Assist with cash handling, banking and associated record keeping • Provide support associated with the organization of meetings and Centre events • Liaise with staff members, parents, other settings and external agencies • Maintain a high level of service whilst undertaking general office duties such as photocopying or filing • Any other duties required by senior members of staffEssential
Good standard of education with a minimum of 3 Standard Grades or equivalent (General level 3 or above) including English and Mathematics, or substantial relevant experienceInformal Enquiries
