We are currently looking to identify a self-motivated Electrician / Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering team servicing the Company’s Freshwater farms and Recirculation Unit’s.

Working in a Freshwater environment you will be in an autonomous role where you will carry out all planned preventative and reactive electrical work and ensure that all plant and equipment is maintained to the highest possible efficiencies.

If you are ambitious and motivated and want to work with a likeminded team, then this is the role for you. This role is a full time post, and the successful candidate will be required to work 40 hours per week and will also be expected to be part of the on-call rota.

Key Responsibilities

  • As an electrical engineer within the Freshwater department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the Company’s Freshwater sites.
  • Maximising the efficiency of all site plant and equipment.
  • Plan, organise, and execute a comprehensive maintenance program.
  • Advise Farm Managers and Area Managers on operational improvements.
  • Contribute to planning, costing, and execution of projects and upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and propose safety enhancements.
  • Maintain clean, safe working environments and handle machinery with care.
  • Optimise and manage engineering spares to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Work within the engineering budget and provide cost-effective solutions.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should have a multi-skilled engineering background. They will be willing to expand their understanding and work hard on the job.

  • At least 2 years of relevant industrial experience.
  • Recognised Time-Served Apprenticeship or equivalent electrical/engineering qualification.
  • Computer literate with experience of using spreadsheets and other software packages.
  • Stamina for a demanding role with mobile responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently, managing time to meet the company’s maintenance and project schedules.  
  • Willingness to travel and work at different company locations for extended periods.
  • The ability to integrate into a multidisciplinary team operating in a busy, diverse and fast paced environment.
  • Drivers licence is essential. No driving licence? Don’t worry, we can help with the cost of lessons
