SEAWEED PRODUCTION MANAGER
Salary range: £32-35k FTE (dependent on experience) + pension. 18 month contract, Full-time until end June, part-time thereafter.
Reporting to our Operations Manager, you will be responsible for seaweed processing activities. Eco Cascade CIC is a seaweed processing company based in Kyle of Lochalsh. Now in our third year of operations, we have an excellent opportunity to join our start-up in this growing and exciting area of sustainable aquaculture.
The Role: During the Spring seaweed harvest season you will be responsible for safe, efficient seaweed processing. Outside of the harvest season duties will include supporting seaweed research and overseeing improvements to our production line.
The right candidate is a team player with a can-do attitude to handle large volumes of seaweed, operate machinery safely, and manage casual staff on the production line, and liaise with project partners.
Training provided, but then you will be expected to take the reins.
Experience: Previous work in aquaculture an advantage but not essential.
More important is experience in a role with transferrable skills such as fish, food & beverage manufacturing, distilling or industrial processing.
