We are seeking a proactive Workshop Manager to oversee day-to-day operations at our Lochgilphead Innovation Centre. ...

Reporting to the General Manager of Product Circularity, you will supervise refurbishment engineering processes, ensure quality control, and lead a team in delivering high-quality solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge solutions, contribute to continuous improvement, and directly impact the growth of the renewable energy sector.

What you will do: Key Responsibilities:

Health & Safety: Ensure your safety, and that of others affected by your actions, is protected.
Workshop Oversight: Manage refurbishment engineering, including electrical processes.
Quality Management: Uphold strict adherence to our Health & Safety, Quality & Environmental Standards. 
Problem solving: Diagnose faults and identify innovative solutions solve for incoming components.
Leadership: Set an example for colleagues, assistants and apprentices
Coaching & Development: Support the growth of apprentices and other team members.
Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives that enhance processes and productivity. 

Requirements

Expertise: An understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles with strong knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems
Experience: proven track record of working in a workshop environment. 
Leadership: Proven leadership skills with team management experience.
Self-starter: Motivated, proactive and solution orientated. 
Computer literate: Comfortable using MS Office, particularly Excel.
Passion: A commitment to sustainability and innovation in green energy.
