Supervisor (Waste)
37 hours per week
7 over 14 shift pattern
NLC 9 £34,187 - £39,603
Based within one of our Depots, you will be an integral part of the Operations team. You will be responsible to the Assistant Service Operations Manager for the day-to-day management of the Council’s Waste operations, initiatives and associated functions. You will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day programming and supervision of the daily duties.
You must be educated to SVQ3, HNC, Apprenticeship level or equivalent in a relevant subject together with extended experience of working within an operational or workshop environment. You will be customer focused with experience of working with the public and able to work effectively on your own and as part of a team.
You must have the ability to prioritise workloads and effectively lead a team solving problems and using your initiative along the way to ensure that work is carried out to the highest standard. Supervisory experience is essential.
You will be an effective verbal and written communicator with excellent organisational and IT skills and must possess a full driving licence. An up-to-date knowledge of Health & Safety and safe systems of work is essential.

*For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip. You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
