Nevis Range are looking for an Experienced Engineering Maintenance Technician to help maintain and repair our Mountain Gondola and associated infrastructure. This is a hands-on role in a breathtaking outdoor setting, perfect for someone with a strong mechanical and electrical background who thrives in a challenging and rewarding environment.
As a Engineering Maintenance Technician at Nevis Range, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our mountain gondola. You will be responsible for assisting in maintaining the gondola systems, components, and machinery. Your attention to detail and problem-solving skills will be essential in preventing downtime, ensuring the safety and reliability of our gondola system
- Assemble and install mechanical components and systems according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Ensure proper alignment and calibration of gondola system for optimal performance.
- Perform routine maintenance on gondola to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and execute timely repairs.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure that all work meets industry standards and safety regulations.
- Make adjustments as necessary to maintain product quality and consistency.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents immediately to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history.
Requirements
- Qualifications: National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ National 5 or equivalent in Mathematics, Physics, and English.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Collaborate with other team members, including engineers and maintenance staff, to address complex mechanical issues.
- Able to work confidently at a height.
