The Visitor Services Ranger supports the management of the Scotland’s forests and land, enhancing outdoor recreation, access, and regional tourism. Collaboration with visitors, stakeholders, communities and FLS colleagues is key to ensuring a safe and enjoyable visitor experience. Responsibilities include engaging with the public to promote the Scottish Outdoor Access Code and performing hands-on tasks to maintain forest sites. The work is varied, balancing organizational priorities with visitor pressures and wider land management responsibilities.
The Visitor Services Team in West Region is responsible for the development and delivery of a high quality visitor experience. This includes; planning and managing recreation opportunities, engaging with visitors, working with partners & tenants, dealing with enquiries, engaging with communities and event promoters.
To be successful in this role you will need experience of working within a visitor attraction and have practical maintenance skills
