Brewery Assistant

As Assistant Brewer you will be working alongside and reporting to our Brewer and involved in supporting all aspects of brew production and distribution.

This is a physically demanding role. You’ll need to be physically fit to manoeuvre kegs up to 60kg and manually lift malt sacks of 25kg.
We will provide full training and the right attitude more than experience is necessary. We want someone to join the team and become part of the Glen Spean Brew Crew family and grow from this. For the right candidate this job can lead to full time employment with progression to brewery qualifications.

Key tasks required
• Assisting with beer production
• Cleaning casks and tanks and maintaining good house-keeping around the brewery site
• Monitoring fermentations
• Maintaining accurate and timely production and delivery data on our brewery software
• Cask-filling
• Assisting with deliveries
• Supporting shop sales and social media activity.
• Assisting in warehouse stock management

Requirements

Essential Requirements:
• Enthusiastic and passionate about the craft beer industry
• Good communication and people skills
• Physically fit as some heavy lifting is required
• Good organisation skills
• Fill driving license.

Desirable Requirements:
• Forklift operating accreditation
• Mechanical knowledge and/or experience
