Store Manager Designate – Brighton/Hove Area

What’s the role?

We’re looking for an experienced Store Manager Designate to lead our teams in the Brighton/Hove area. Reporting to the Area Manager, you’ll take full responsibility for managing your store and driving its success. You will focus on maximising sales, meeting KPIs, and creating a highly engaged and high-performing team. You’ll lead from the front, with a hands-on approach, making the store a great place to work and shop.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the store’s daily operations, from stock control to customer service.
  • Leading and motivating a team to exceed sales targets and deliver top-tier performance across all KPIs.
  • Building a positive and fun work environment that inspires and engages your team.
  • Ensuring the store meets all health and safety requirements.
  • Providing excellent customer experiences, ensuring Pets at Home lives up to its reputation as the Best Pet Care Business in the World.

Who are we looking for?

  • You’ll have at least 2 years of retail management experience, managing a team of 10 or more in a fast-paced environment.
  • You’re passionate about retail and have a track record of achieving outstanding results.
  • You’re flexible and able to work a 7-day shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • You’re a strong team player with excellent communication skills, able to engage and inspire your team.
  • You’re excited to undertake 6 months of industry-leading training, covering everything from customer service and pet care to health & safety.
