Our story:

As we continue to expand, we need a dedicated Business Administrator to help support our day-to-day operation; helping make sure that our business runs smoothly. 

 

About the role:

As a Business Administrator, you will play an essential role in supporting our business operations. You’ll assist with a range of tasks to keep the business organised and efficient, including but not limited to - 

Finance & Book-keeping:

·         Assist with basic bookkeeping and financial record-keeping.

·         Support payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

·         Help prepare financial reports and assist in budget tracking.

Office & Operations:

·         Maintain office organization and systems to ensure efficiency.

·         Assist with scheduling and rostering for staff.

·         Help with recruitment, including posting job ads and coordinating interviews.

Human Resources:

·         Support HR functions by maintaining employee records and processing paperwork.

Health & Safety:

·         Assist in ensuring health and safety guidelines are followed across the business.

General Administration:

·         Manage general office communications and correspondence.

·         Update and maintain company records, including staff and financial information.

·         Assist in coordinating with different departments to improve internal processes and communication.

This role is for a fixed period to begin with to help cover maternity leave, but our business is growing so it’s very likely that the position will be made permanent longer term for the right candidate.  Ideally we are looking for an experienced Business Administrator with good experience to take leadership in the role, but we would also consider training up someone with less experience should they have the right attitude.

Requirements

The things we will look at for excellence in this role:

  1. You have strong attention to detail and make very few mistakes.
  2. You are excellent with technology and software tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Excel, Google Workspace).
  3. You are good at typing, spelling and word processing.
  4. You can manage a variety of different tasks at any given time.
  5. You are happy with a busy workload and can prioritise tasks by urgency.
  6. You have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  7. You are good with financial processes such as bookkeeping and payroll.
  8. You have a positive attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  9. You are trustworthy, and can handle confidential business information with absolute discretion. 
  10. You have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  11. You are quick to learn new things, and have a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
