<p>An exciting opportunity has become available to work within a fast-paced team that operates at the forefront of social care services within South Lanarkshire. We are seeking to appoint a suitable candidate to the post of Community Support Assistant within Home Assessment Teams as follows:</p>
<p>Hours: 35 per week</p>
<p>Vacancy: Fixed term to 6th April 2026</p>
<p>Salary: £31,096 - £31,954</p>

<p>Home Assessment Teams operate seven days a week with a focus on supporting service users to regain or attain skills and abilities. Helping them to achieve as much independence as they can in their own homes.</p>
<p>The Community Support Assistant will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team that includes Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Community Nurses and Social Care professionals with the aim of supporting, motivating and inspiring people to re-learn daily skills and enhance their quality of life. This may be required following a period in hospital or to prevent admission to hospital.</p>
<p>The postholder will be contracted to work 35 hours each week, Monday to Friday. The key tasks are detailed in the job profile.</p>
<p style="margin-left:0cm;"><strong>Requirements</strong></p>
<ul><li><strong>You must have SVQ Level 2 in Social Care</strong>, or equivalent, to fully meet SSSC registration requirements of the post. You must provide proof of your qualifications when applying for this post as part of your application </li>

<li>You will be required to demonstrate your ability to work at SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care as a minimum standard and be willing to work towards achieving this qualification if you do not already hold this qualification/equivalent or greater.</li>
<li>You will require to register as a Practitioner within a Support Service with the Scottish Social Services Council </li>
</ul>
