Operator - Finishing

We’re looking for an Operator to join our Finishing Team within the Machining Department. Daily tasks would involve using polishing mops, Codema machines, electric sanders and sandblasting equipment. This hands-on role requires a sharp eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality standards.

As an Operator - Finishing, you’ll:

  • Work in the finishing area in our machining department
  • Collaborate with other members of the team across multiple departments
  • Sand and polish acrylic, metal and wooden components with quality and precision
  • Work with our unique sustainable materials, developed and manufactured on-site
  • Contribute your skills across a range of creative projects, from classic designs to artistic sculptures
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, precision, and consistency
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the use of PPE, to maintain a safe working environment
  • Troubleshoot challenges and highlight potential issues during the production process
  • Take part in shaping and refining Midton’s aesthetic and technical output

Requirements

  • Have experience working with materials like acrylic, metal or wood
  • Enjoy working with your hands and have strong manual dexterity
  • Pay close attention to detail and pride yourself on well-executed and consistent work
  • Driven to learn and explore new techniques
  • Thrive in a team environment but can work independently
