Business & Administration Apprenticeship

We are currently looking for a motivated and organised Administrative Apprentice to join our office team and help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. The post is available as either a part-time or full-time position.

As an Administrative Apprentice, you'll play a key role in supporting our busy office with day-to-day admin tasks while working towards a recognised qualification in Business Administration. You'll gain experience in a practical working environment where no two days are the same, and you’ll learn about the vital role administration plays in the construction and civils industry. The qualification will be completed through observations by an assessor within the workplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answering phone calls and directing queries to the right team members
  • Assisting with filing, data entry, and document control
  • Helping to maintain accurate records of deliveries, materials, and site paperwork
  • Supporting health and safety documentation and compliance checks
  • Preparing simple reports, spreadsheets, and office correspondence
  • Managing incoming and outgoing post
  • Ordering stationery and office supplies
  • General office duties to support the wider team and management

 

 

Requirements
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn a variety of different tasks
  • Good communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Comfortable using a computer (Word, Excel, email) – however training will be given
  • Organised, dependable, and able to follow instructions from management
  • Able to work independently and as part of a small team
