What you’ll be doing:
As our Deputy Manager, you’ll work hand-in-hand with the Service Manager to keep everything running smoothly across our residential, respite, and day care services. You’ll play a key role in ensuring quality care, supporting our brilliant staff team, and stepping up to lead the service when needed. This role is all about combining practical know-how with people-first leadership.

A typical day could involve:

  • Supporting the day-to-day running of the service
  • Leading by example to maintain excellent care standards
  • Supervising, mentoring, and developing staff
  • Helping manage budgets and resources
  • Overseeing safe medication administration
  • Creating shift plans and ensuring staffing levels meet care needs
  • Upholding health and safety across the service

What we’re looking for:

  • SVQ Level 3 in Social Services or Health Care (essential)
  • SVQ Level 4 or working towards it (desirable)
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and internet)
  • Leadership experience in a care setting
  • Compassionate, proactive, and organised approach
  • Ability to uphold and work within our Christian ethos

As we do our work in Christ’s name the job you have applied for requires you to have a Christian faith and be able to work within and uphold our Christian Ethos.  This is an Occupational Requirement under Part 1 of Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010. 

You will need to undertake necessary vetting checks and apply for a Disclosure Scotland Basic check. You will also be required to adhere to the SSSC Code of Practice.
