An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Public Affairs Officer to join the Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP).
The post holder will provide a support function around the administration and coordination of complaints, enquiries, Freedom of Information (FoI), Subject Access Requests (SARs) and Elected Member enquiries within the HSCP, on behalf of Renfrewshire Council. This role is central to the effective functioning of the Partnership, helping us maintain quality and identify ways we can improve.
Reporting to the Public Affairs Manager, we are looking for a well organised individual to provide an effective business support service. Daily tasks will include administration and coordination of all enquiry types – offering advice and guidance to colleagues, members of the public and other organisations.
SVQ level 3 in Business Administration or similar, and/or equivalent work experience and willingness to work towards the qualification is essential.
You will have experience of working with multi-agency and multi-disciplinary partners and experience of delivering services in process driven environments.
You will also have practical experience of working with standard computer systems including Microsoft Office. It is also essential that you have the ability to use initiative and ask for help when needed, work to strict deadlines and quality standards, as well as being committed to maintaining dignity and confidentiality of service users.
It is desirable that you have knowledge of redaction tools and access to file procedures, as well as knowledge of GDPR and its application to social work information.
It is also desirable that you have experience of working with different statutory and voluntary agencies, as well as handling complaints, collating FOIs and SARs.
A driving licence is also desirable.
