Dunvegan Castle & Gardens is one of the most dynamic, diverse, and popular multi award-winning 5* visitor attractions on the Isle of Skye. We are looking for enthusiastic and customer focused people to join our existing team and ensure that our 180,000 plus visitors receive our trademark warm Highland Welcome.
As an experienced cook/baker with enthusiasm and a passion for quality food you will be responsible to the Cafe Manager, ensuring ingredients, preparation, cooking, taste and presentation are consistently of a high standard. With an ability to bring new ideas, combining fresh local and seasonal produce, you will play a key role in this popular and busy café. Food hygiene knowledge and appropriate certification is essential.

Requirements
To be eligible for this position you will need a full working visa in the UK.
A full UK driving licence and your own vehicle are essential for the role.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge:
Essential
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
Cooking and baking qualifications and experience
Some experience of till operation
Skills & Qualifications:
Essential
Excellent verbal communication skills
Good organiser and team leader
Able to cope with varying pressures
Able to work alone and use his or her own initiative
Comfortable “selling”
Customer focussed and confident with people
Punctual
Experience:
Essential
Has worked as part of a team
Proven ability in carrying out instructions
Has experience in dealing with and diffusing issues with the public and staff in face-to-face situations
Able to field complaints
Cash handling experience
Desirable
Confident operating small portable appliances (e.g. Food Blender)
