Our business is accelerating in a digital direction. Printed newspapers are still important to us - we sell about 17,000 newspapers each week - but our focus is on transforming into a digital-first news publisher. We've already made significant progress, acquiring over 10,000 digital subscribers across Highland News and Media.

Our portfolio of marketing solutions include: print advertising, digital display, outdoor advertising, event management and sponsorship - quite a list for a company anchored in the Highlands.

Requirements

 Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Being a first point of contact for customers, helping with queries through phone and e-mail contact.
  • Ensuring excellence in customer service and dealing with incoming enquiries from new and existing subscribers.
  • Helping to drive our digital transformation and further our online subscription model, acquiring new customers and switching existing print customers online.
  • Being a team player. As part of the audience team, this will provide you with the opportunity to work closely with the editorial and sales teams to contribute to the company’s development.
  • Processing and presenting data across the wider business.
  • Great organisational skills, we publish 12 different weekly newspapers and 8 websites across a patch covering the Highlands, Moray, Shetland and Aberdeenshire, reaching to many customers across the North of Scotland.
  • Being an ambassador for Highland News & Media - we've loads of great stuff we'll need you to shout about.
