We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Café Cook to join our team. Hours are stated as 28 hours per week although this is negotiable and job-share may be possible. We are a living wage employer. ...
Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, including breakfast and lunch items.
Bake fresh cakes and tray bakes (training can be provided)
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment in compliance with food safety regulations.
Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation to ensure consistency.
Assist in menu planning, daily specials, and food preparation as required.
Receive, check, and properly store food deliveries.
Manage stock rotation and minimize food waste.
Support and collaborate with other kitchen and café staff to ensure timely service.
Follow café policies and health and safety procedures at all times.
Requirements
Previous experience as a cook or chef in a cafe or similar environment.
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
