As a Social Care Assistant, you’ll provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to older people in their own homes, in a friendly and respectful environment. You’ll help with everyday tasks and activities that make life meaningful; from personal care and companionship to supporting wellbeing and social inclusion.
Based in Braeburn Court, you’ll work closely with colleagues and senior staff, taking initiative, sharing ideas, and contributing to a supportive team culture where everyone’s input is valued. This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, dependable, and ready to develop their skills and confidence in care – with the potential to grow into more senior roles in the future.
Previous experience in social care is highly desirable. You should hold a minimum of SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or other relevant qualifications to enable registration with SSSC or achieve this within 3 years of appointment. You must also register with SSSC as a Support Worker within 3 months of appointment.
This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with adults.
