Applications are invited for the permanent position of Senior Accounting Officer within the Accounting Section.
The postholder will work within a busy team supporting the functions of the Accounting Section. The duties of the post includes the processing, validation and reporting of financial information.
You will be an effective team member but will be experienced in managing your own workload. You will deal with financial queries from stakeholders both within and out with the Council, therefore experience of dealing with people is essential.
We are looking for someone who is a fully qualified Accounting Technician (AAT Level 4 Professional Diploma). Alternatively, applicants should have a minimum of 5 years previous relevant accountancy experience in line with the role specific responsibilities.
You should have good numerical, communication and organisational skills and have experience of working with finance systems.
This post is subject to Level 2 Disclosure Scotland clearance.
