Job Description
The post holder will be responsible for covering the Weighbridge duties at any Waste Transfer Station operated by the council, as and when required.
Duties will include:
• Undertaking all electronic or manual data recording of all incoming or outgoing materials to allow the department to monitor tonnages for commercial charging and comply with Duty of Care obligations as required by regulation.
• Carrying out random checks of incoming vehicles to stop any non-permitted waste types as protect the council’s Waste Management Licence and that only authorised commercial customers are permitted access to the council’s sites.
• Communicating with the site supervisor and liaise with the council’s call centre and Corporate Finance sections as required.
