This job is workstyle 1- Fixed

In this workstyle most of your time is spent undertaking the direct delivery of front-line services work. Depending on your role, there may be a limited requirement to access a specific council location during the course of the working week if you are not delivering your service at a council location.

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and resilient social care officers to join our residential community within Angus Council.

Rowan Cottage, James Chalmers Road, Arbroath or Strathmore Centre, Strathmore Avenue, Forfar.

Please note that we ask all team members to have access to a car, including business insurance.

Rowan Cottage
Rowan Cottage is a residential home which supports four young people aged 5-21 who are care experienced. Our services are inclusive and accessible to all children and you will be expected provide love, care and support to the children in our care. Our residential childcare workers create homely, welcoming environments in which children can develop a sense of emotional safety and belonging. We are looking for workers with resilience who have the right personal skills and experience to support our young people to achieve their dreams.

Strathmore Centre
We provide short breaks for children with complex disabilities and additional needs. We offer a real home from home environment where care, compassion, and community shine. If you're passionate about making a difference and love working as part of a supportive team, we would love to hear from you.

Our services run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and the working pattern supports this. You may therefore be asked to carry out sleep-in and occasional waking night duties for which an allowance is payable.

Please note: This post is not eligible for UK visa sponsorship as the salary does not meet the Home Office requirements. Applicants should only apply if they do not require UK visa sponsorship.

Requirements

You must have the ability to become a member of the PVG Scheme.
