Location: Teith House 

Stirling Council is looking for Graduate Flooding Officer to play a key role in the councils inspection of watercourses, analysis and response to flood risk, in the delivery of major projects across Stirling, and improving the region’s resilience. You will:

  • To plan and undertake watercourse inspections and assessments, including preparation of the subsequent reports and subsequent management of GIS databases.
  • Undertake design work to find repair solutions to defects identified during inspections.
  • To provide AutoCAD drawing capabilities to support the Flood team and wider service for the development of improvements to local flooding.
  • To participate in the provision of professional design and project management services for a range of maintenance and capital projects which meet quality, cost and time requirements.
  • Work with the Service to ensure that designs are compliant with all national design policy documents and Council standards whilst seeking innovative best practice in design.
  • Correspondence and communication with landowners, communities, Elected Members and residents regarding maintenance obligations and works.
  • Support colleagues and contribute to knowledge-sharing across the service.
