Location: Teith House
Stirling Council is looking for Graduate Flooding Officer to play a key role in the councils inspection of watercourses, analysis and response to flood risk, in the delivery of major projects across Stirling, and improving the region’s resilience. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a growing team and on major projects, and ensure the assets and infrastructure delivered in Stirling is safe and resilient.

You will:
- To plan and undertake watercourse inspections and assessments, including preparation of the subsequent reports and subsequent management of GIS databases.
- Undertake design work to find repair solutions to defects identified during inspections.
- To provide AutoCAD drawing capabilities to support the Flood team and wider service for the development of improvements to local flooding.
- To participate in the provision of professional design and project management services for a range of maintenance and capital projects which meet quality, cost and time requirements.
- Work with the Service to ensure that designs are compliant with all national design policy documents and Council standards whilst seeking innovative best practice in design.
- Correspondence and communication with landowners, communities, Elected Members and residents regarding maintenance obligations and works.
- Support colleagues and contribute to knowledge-sharing across the service.
