Dunvegan Castle & Gardens is one of the most dynamic, diverse, and popular multi award-winning 5* visitor attractions on the Isle of Skye. We are looking for enthusiastic and customer focused people to join our existing team and ensure that our 180,000 plus visitors receive our trademark warm Highland Welcome.

Experienced in a similar position, you will provide strong team leadership in this hands-on management role and bring some bright ideas for providing the best food and service in this popular busy cafe. The ideal candidate will be experienced in food preparation with high standards of customer care. They will have food hygiene knowledge and appropriate certification, be computer literate and experienced in cash handling.

Requirements

To be eligible for this position you will need a full working visa in the UK.

A full UK driving licence and your own vehicle are essential for the role.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Knowledge:

Self-Motivated, enthusiastic, dynamic and energetic
Performance Management gained in a catering environment
Gross Profit Management & Pricing
Stock rotation
Food Hygiene Legislation in relation to the MacLeod’s Table Cafe business.
Food presentation, display and merchandising techniques
Computer/touchscreen till competency

Skills & Qualifications:

High attention to detail, quality and presentation.
Basic Food Hygiene – essential. Intermediate level – desirable with willingness to train up to this level.
Flexible and adaptable
Customer focussed
Computer Literate
Creative & Innovative
Good Communicator with staff, customers, media and other stakeholders
Strong Leadership qualities
Good at planning and organising

Experience:

Food preparation
Working within a Catering Environment
Budget control
Customer service delivery
Experience of catering for VIP private events and functions
