The Council has an ambitious agenda to deliver for Renfrewshire: - driving major economic and cultural regeneration programmes, supporting the development of strong and resilient communities, tackling inequality, and promoting opportunity, ensuring the sustainability of Renfrewshire and its natural environment and promoting better outcomes for local people and communities.

 


We are seeking an ambitious Assistant Project Manager to join our Programme Management Unit to work across a range of projects within our programme. Key responsibilities include monitoring and evaluating the day-to-day progress of projects ensuring production of satisfactory documentation; developing implementation and contingency plans whilst managing project risks; overseeing budgets and reporting project progress.

 


You will be self-motivated with the ability to work to strict deadlines whilst developing effective working relationships. In addition, you will have a customer-focused, innovative, flexible approach to work and possess effective presentation, verbal and written communication skills.

 

 

You must hold previous experience of project management and processes, experience of using project planning tools such as MS Project, experience in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and numeracy, literacy, problem solving and organisational skills are also essential.

 

A qualification or accreditation in Project Management is desirable.

 

Please note that this post is temporary, subject to business needs and funding for 12 Months or until the requirement for the post ceases, whichever date is the earlier.
