We are looking for a caring, warm and reliable person with a broad range of skills to support a lively elderly couple in a fully staffed household. This role does not include personal care. ...

Responsibilities:
Working as part of an established team of household staff.
Companionship - generally walks and chats
Assisting with ordering online and basic correspondence.
Driving the couple on outings and regular appointments.
Errand running.
Managing medical appointments.
Occasional food preparation and washing up after meals.
Tidying and organising.
Being the responsible person on site overnight 4 nights a week in the unlikely event of an emergency i.e. a power cut.
Ad hoc duties as required.

 

Working Hours & Salary:
Full time – 5 days each week (ideally Thursday to Monday, living in for those four nights).
We would be willing to consider part time for the right candidate provided they are willing to work over the weekend.
Approximately £40,000 per annum. Pro rata for part time.
Accommodation:
Use of an ensuite room with a kitchen/sitting room for the four nights per week in a house 50m away from the couple’s house.
 
Requirements
Candidate requirements:
Must have experience working with the Elderly.
Trustworthy, DBS Checked or willing to do so, with excellent checkable references.
Confident computer skills essential.
Able to work both independently and collaboratively, communicating well with family and other staff members. 
Flexible, “can do” attitude. 
Full UK driving licence (car provided for local travel).
Willing to follow the routine and choices of the couple.
Interest in nature and outdoors a plus
Excellent English.
Right to work in UK.
Pet Friendly Household.
