Migdale Transport is seeking an experienced and motivated Marine Superintendent to join our team and play a key role in the success of our wellboat operations. This is a senior operational position, working closely with the Wellboat Operations Manager and wider team to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant marine services.

Start date: Ideally beginning of April

The Role

As Marine Superintendent, you will be responsible for:
• Coordinating wellboat operations
• Liaising with crews, office staff, and customers
• Ensuring vessels, and equipment are maintained and operating safely
• Monitoring compliance with company Safety Management Systems
• Managing maintenance, crew changes, and operational planning
• Ensuring vessels are fully equipped and supplied
• Maintaining accurate operational, compliance, and financial records
• Promoting environmental responsibility and best practice
• Supporting continuous improvement and business development
• Ensuring compliance with flag and port state regulations.
• Maintaining and evolving an effective safety management system.

This is a key leadership role within the business, with responsibility for maintaining high standards of safety, performance, and customer service.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a candidate who has:
• A valid Masters/Chief Officer’s Certificate of Competency (essential)
• Experience in marine operations (aquaculture experience desirable)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving ability
• Good IT skills (Excel, Word, reporting systems)
• A strong commitment to safety, compliance, and welfare
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to participate in on-call and weekend rotas

You must be eligible to work in the UK.

Location & Hours
• Primary location: Migdale Transport Oban Office, Scotland
• Hybrid working may be considered for the right candidate
• Average working week: 43 hours
