The inn has 23 bedrooms, all refurbished to a high standard in recent years, and has recently attained VisitScotland’s 3 star inn accreditation. This in itself takes a dedicated team to run and maintain the high standards now set.
However, in addition, through the Clachaig Holidays brand, we also own and manage 12 self catering properties, located both on site and in the neighbouring villages of Glencoe & Ballachulish.
These properties are of 4 star standard, requiring constant attention to detail from our housekeeping staff, ensuring that our guests keep returning. The importance of our dedicated staff in this team cannot be overstated.
Our Housekeeping team start at 8am where they will serve our residents breakfast. After Breakfast you will assist in cleaning the hotel including 23 rooms and 7 self-catering properties.
Duties will include;
- Breakfast service
- Cleaning public areas, excluding the bar areas.
- Servicing bedrooms
- Servicing self-catering properties
- Taking delivery of laundry and stock deliveries
Note that this list is only intended to give an indication of the types of work required, and will be dependant on trade, and your own skills and experience. Further detail will be provided through the in house Training & Development programme.
You will start work at 8am and typically finish between 3pm and 4pm during the week. On Saturdays finishing times tend to be between 4pm and 5pm. 5 days a week with typically two set days off during the week. Typically your days off each week will not change allowing you to plan for your days off.
Shared live in accomodation may be available.

Clachaig Inn has a strong reputation for offering a warm welcome to all its customers. You must be self confident, outgoing and carry a big smile, even when it's not all going quite as planned.
At times it's hard work, but it's also great fun. Many of our staff come for a few months and are still here after a few years.
You need to be a self starter, and keen to get stuck in. You should also be aware of personal and food hygiene matters, and health and safety procedures. You must be keen to learn new skills and acquire detailed product knowledge. You must be presentable in the eyes of our wide range of customers from all walks of life.

Finally, you must be willing to commit for the season ahead, ideally until the end of February. Beyond this time, some full time contracts year round may well be available.
