West Highland College UHI is looking to recruit an SLP Support Worker, to be based at our Ullapool Centre.
The post holder will be responsible for assisting with the provision of a friendly high quality learning experience that meets the needs of individual learners and promotes independence.
The post holder will be accountable for providing support to lecturing staff and students on West Highland College UHI courses to ensure that those with additional support needs (learning and other disabilities) are encouraged to reach their maximum potential.
The suitable candidate will have a good general level of qualifications and have experience of working within an educational or care setting, or equivalent, with adults or young people.
Good written and verbal communication skills are essential in this role, as well as the ability to work as part of a team.
£17,510 per annum (pro-rata)
This is a part-time, permanent position
6 hours per week (10am – 4pm Friday) for 35 weeks each year
Monday 24th October 2016 at 12 noon
Expected to take place on Wednesday 2nd November 2016
