Relief Care Organiser
Hours are offered on an as and when required basis
£9.92 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)
A shift allowance will be paid for unsocial hours worked where appropriate
Following a restructure of our office based staffing an exciting opportunity has arisen within our small team of Care Organisers (HCO), based in Kirkwall.
Working in our small office team post holders will be responsible for managing the delivery of the Home Care services to meet the assessed needs of service users within a given geographical area.
Care Organisers manage the work routines of Home Carers through permanent and temporary allocations, ensuring the most efficient use of Council resources and the quality standards of the service are maintained at all times.
In order to fulfil the duties required of this role you will be competent in:
• Responding to and providing advice and guidance to staff
• Planning and organising the effective use of resources
• Communication skills
• Adapting and working flexibly in a constantly pressured environment
The ideal candidates will have considerable experience in an administrative role, will be highly motivated, have the ability to work on their own initiative and have excellent organisational abilities.

You should hold a minimum of SVQ 2, or equivalent level qualification, in Business Administration or Customer Care.
